Madame Dccleene was lecturess at tha weekly meeting of the French Club, held on Thursday night at their rooms in Ballance Street. In an interesting address on the subject of "L'Aiglou d'Edmond Rostand," Madame. Decleene outlined the history of the Due do Reichstadt.'tlie unfortunate son of the great Napoleon, and Mario Louisa of Austria from his birth to his untimely end. It is of course an attractive historical subject of which not much has over appeared in current literature. Assisted by Madamo Decleene, senr., aud tho Hon. J. Rigg, -M-LC., Madame gavo several scenes from "L'Aiglon." A short discussion followed. During tlio evening Misses li. Van Stavcreu and C. Smylhson gave musical items.
