FEWER BIRTHS-MORE DEATIIS'. Tho vital statistics for tho seven months of tho year ended yesterday disclose the unv.-elcome fact that thero havo been fewer births and more deaths during the period just elided, as compared with the corresponding period of last year. There is not sucli a marked dilforoncs ill respect to births, though that difference is on the wrong side, but the number of marriages has sensibly decreased, and tho deaths are thirty in excess of what t.liey. were for the first seven months of last year.
