MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.

A mooting of the workers ami those interested in the "Mercantile Marine Fair." to bo held in the Seamen's Institute, ill aid of the funds of the Missions to Seamen, took place on Tuesday evening. Reports indicated that everything would be in readiness by Olio date fixed for tho fair —September 3 to C. One new featuro will bo tho "Information Bureau," where those contemplating a trip either ashore, or afloat, will bo ablo to obtain all particulars of routes, fares, etc., with literature giving all information. An effort is being made to give a nautical aspect to the proceedings. Photos and models of vessels will attract, and ships' flags and bunting will form a feature at each stall. A fullrigged ship will be occupied by the men's department, where''all manner of tilings' suitable for the "mere man" will bo obtainable. From the hold of the ship a regular "tar" will send tip goods from below for sale on deck. Near by a capstan witjh block and tackle will be fixed, and a typical crow of a sailing shin, in characteristic dress, will sing old-fashioned chanties while going through the process of hauling up tho anchor or hauling 011 tho main brace. 1 •
