TARANAKI MOTOR SPIRIT
# A HvACTICAL TEST. Messrs. C. A. Wilkinson, M.P., and it. J. H. Okey, M.l'., arrived in Wellington last evening in a motor-car propelled by Taranaki benzine, after a splendid run from Wangauui. Mr. -Wilkinson said, in speaking to a Dominion reporter lust evening, "We took every hill at top speed except Faekakariki, which dropped the car to second gear. The benzine is of perfect quality, and gavo maximum power and efficiency. Mr. Okey and myself thoroughly enjoyed the trip. No adjustment of the carburetter was necessary. The tank was simply filled with benzine, and tho engine started. Tho timo from Wanganui to Wellington was 6J hours, or 50 minutes faster than the mail train. There was 110 attempt made to rush matters." On the basis of this performance, it is olaimcd that Taranaki need not fear any competition in benzine while producing such a fine article for ■ vlpc-ii there may be : expected a large market and a keen demand.
