Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd.. Pahiatua, report having lield a clearing sale on account of Messrs. Vowcll Bros.. Kohlnuo. on Friday, when they offered the wliolo of their dairy herd to a crood attendance of buyera. The cows wero well forward in condition, and tho majority wero early calvcra. The record price for the season was obtained for a cow purchased liv Mr. lUpasg for fclv sum of £14 lte., and Messrs. Verry and Huntley ateo purchased cows for the sum& of £14 53. and £14 respectively, the whole herd averaging the excellent price of £9 Is. The following aro quotations Early calvers in cood condition, from £10 ss. to £14 ICs.; later and moro backward sorts, from £7 15e. to £9; late calvers, £6 to £8 ,55.; unsound cows. £4 to £5; Jersey bulls, £4; spring dray, £14'; hack, £7; 6undriee, etc., at current values.
