At tho National Riflo Association's meotijig at Bisley, Private Hawkins, of Canada, won tho King's Prize, with a score of 330. Sergeant Fenby (329) was second; Blacklow (323), sixth; Jialliday (321), eighth. Macalister scored. 31'J and Harrison 318. ' Tho four lo.st-nnincd Australians won a badge and i! 10 each. Five other Australians—Semmens, Cross, Green, Garrily, and Calliford—won a badge awl £5 cach. Instead of ten 6hots (it tho three last ranges, tho competitors for tho King's Prize had fifteen shots at tho UOOyds. and 1000 yds. ranges. Oinmundscn, firing ten rounds, in thirty seconds, was one point ahead. of Fenby at tho end of 900 yds. shooting. Ommundsen unaccountably missed the target with his seventh shot at the 1000 yds. and finished with 324: Meanwhile tho crowd gathered round Hawkins, whoso last shot .required to bo an inner for liim to > tic with Fenby, but ho scored a bull. Tho winner is a Toronto lawyer. Ho has been shooting for sis years, but this is liis first visit to Bisley, Ho secured a place in tho Canadian team as substitute for an absent man. Throughout ho shot with tlio greatest sang froid, smoking between tho ranges and chewing gum whilo firing. Ho had a great reception, and tho Canadians chaired him around tho camp. A. G. Fulton won tho St. Geofgo's Vase, with, a score of 119. Harrison, of Australia, won the Elkington Challenge Cup. Tho Duchess of Wellington presented the prizes. Tho Australians were greatly cheered on receiving the Mackinnon Cup. COLONEL CHAYTOR'S SUCCESS. London, July 2G At the National Rifle Association meeting at Bisley, Colonel Chaytor, of New Zealand, with a score of 191, qualified for tho final for the King's Prize. Harrison, of Australia, .won. tho Elkington Challenge Cup, and Sergeant Ommundson won a silver cup in the same event.
