CAPTURED BT BROOKLYN MEN. (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Masterton, July 27. Tho annual provincial harrier crosscountry championship took placo here on Saturday. There wcro about fifty oomOs, representing fivo clubs. Ihe vn team of four men were in front, doing fivo miles in 31min 20sec. Byrno was first home, and was followed by Bannatyne, Murray, and Cook. The Wellington Central team was sccond, and Masterton third. Brooklyn were afterwards presented with tho White Miukay Shield, which' has been hold by Masterton during tho past year.
