THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY.
Last night Mr. J. R. Thomson Iccturcd to a large audience on "Man, the Temple of God. In the course of his address the lecturer indicated tho valuo of bodybuilding by the selection of clean food and drink, so as to make of tho body a fit temple for the Spirit of God. The emotions Mr. Thomson likened to the music within the temple. Harmonious emotions, he said, were tho melodies from the grand organ, while inharmonious emotions produced discords. Tho mind or intelligence, tho lecturer said, corresponded to the High Priest, whose function it was to administer tho ceremonies and direct tho forces flowing down through all tho spiritual channels to the body. In tho averago man the High Priest— tho intellect—is asleep, while in the saint ho is actively discharging his sacred obligation by guiding wisely all tho forces of tho in-dwelling God. At the conclusion of the lecture questions were answered,
