An interesting debate arising out of Mr. Koir Hardie's statement that the waning influence of the Socialist movement is duo to active members, obtaining such appointments', is expected at tho annual conference of the. ,Labour party at Glasgow regarding the acceptance of Government posts by Labour Socialist leaders. During the last sis years there havo been 374 such appointments to tho Board of Trade, the National Insurance, Home Office, and other Departments.
