HORSES STAMPEDE.

During military manoeuvres at Elstead, Surrey, picketed horses belonging to tho Queen's Bays, alarmed by the crackle of rifles in the darkness stampeded. Some sleeping soldiers were injured, and many of the animals were, so hurt that they had to be destroyed.
