VALLANCE COOK MISSION.
Yesterday afternoon Mrs. Cook gave an interesting address to women. At the evening mission service tho Scripture lesson was Isinah 12th, and tho inference from tho words, "Praiso, sing, shout".was that individual manifestationof gratitude was diverse and according to the idiocyncrasy of each. Tho address was based "oil Galatdans 0, chapter 7th verse, "Whatsoever a. man soweth that shall he also reap." The law hero laid down, applied (said Mrs. Cook) alike to the spiritual, intellectual, and physical realm. It was scientifically true; it was a great fact of life. Two kinds of seed only were mentioned here. Men could chooso tho seed, but they must accept the issuies ■of their choosing, and daily life was a sowing which determined the reaping. Really, Heaven and Hell were in tho balanco. "'What is Hell?" a man once asked. "I answered," said Mrs. Cook, "Hell is the result of badness. Heaven the result of goodness." We reap what we sow. It applies to all of us, ministers as well as people. What are you sowing? askrd the speaker. The seed sown could not be recalled. Evil sown came back in evil reaping. How can men escape? Only by the mercy of God. There was always a' chance for the man who was sorry. This evening the last of the week-night services will be hold. On Monday next tho missioner will givo his last address in Wellington, tho subject being the story of his life.
