SALE OF WORK.

St. Peter's Schoolroom had been effectively dccorated with Hags, coloured drapery, and foliage in honour of tho annual parish sale of work, which was opened yesterday afternoon by Mrs. F. 11. B. Fisher. Archdeacon Harper made 11 brief introductory speech, and Mrs. N. M'Lean's little son presented Mrs. Fisher' with a'beautiful bouquet of freesias and violets, 'after which the formal opening ceremony was performed. St. Peter's sale is noted for the excellent quality of its work at these times, and yesterday the stalls held somo really excellent samples of plain and fancy work of all descriptions. The stalls and stallholders wero as follows:—The plain and fancy stall, St. Peter's Ladies' Guild; the men's stall, Mrs. Raine; produce, 'Mrs. Richards and Mrs. Ashendon; fancy stall, the Girls' Work Party; baby stall, Mrs. M'Lean; sweet stall, St. Peter's Choir. There was also the Mitchelltown stall, members of which had combined with St; Peter's workers for the sale. The tearolmi was in charge' of St. Peter's I,awn 'i'a>nis Clnb. Miss Anderson and Miss Holnulen took charge of the bran tub. 111 the evening an excellent entertainment was given, and very satisfactory business transacted. The sale will be continued this afternoon, and also in the evening, when further attractions will be added by the entertainment which will be given.
