WANTED: A HOTEL DE LUXE.
FOII WAHINE'S FIREMEN. Although tho how ferry steamer Wahins ia considered to bo ono of the bestequipped steamers which the Union Company possess as far us the crew's quarters are concerned, she nevertheless appears not to have como up to expectations as far as some of her firemen are ooncerned. As a matter of fact, these men have been accommodated with splendid quarters on the new "flier," but, apparently. it is useless for the Union Co, to try to please men with tastes lik« Sybarites. Yesterday tcrcn firemen left' tho ship because "the hot water-pipes had not been connected with their bath." Their places were soon filled, however. Tho wator in. the firemen s bath and wash-basins will be heated in future, and no doubt tho men who work the coal andl furnaces will ho satisfied—for a tini(\, at least.
