POLICE TRICKED.
BY MRS. PANKHURST. By Tolsgrasli—Pre«a Association-Ooorriski London, July 21. • The report of Mrs. Pankhurst's k rearrest was incorrect. A dramatic effort was made to secure, her escape from her fiat. A decoy dressed like Mrs. Pankhurst left the house, and tho police on guard followed her. They wore hindered by fifty Suffragettes, but caught the woman, and then found that they had been trickfed. Mrs. Pankhurst, unknown to the police, reached the pavilion and hid in the anteroom until the (meeting commenced. The detectives, hearing this, barred the exits and arrested her as she was going on the platform. There uproar. A number of women attempted to rescue her, and attacked the detectives with hat-pins and Umbrellas. Several arrests were made. Mrs. Pankhurst was taken to Holloway Prison. She refused to leave the cab, and the detectives lifted her out and carried her into prison.
