FEILDING ITEMS.
Mr. J. Robinson, of Feilding, and formerly of Carterton and Masterton, is seriously ill, and his condition is causing grave anxiety. . Members of the local harriers yesterday waited on Mr. C. E. Brown, wlw has acted as secretary to the Harriers Club since its inception and is now about to remove to' Auckland, and presented him with an engraved suit case, and also a chased jewel case for Mrs. Brown. Mr. J Collingwood made the presentations on behalf of the club, and his eulogistic remarks were endorsed by Mr. J. I'isher and Mr. F. Pirani. junr. - A Feilding Liederkranz baa been formed, with Herr Berger as conductor and Miss Rowe as secretary. At the meeting of the local branch of tho Acclimatisation Society, Mr. G. H. Saywell presided. The ranger reported that the Feilding district streams were liberally stocked with trout. It was resolved to obtain 60,000 fry from tho hatcheries at Masterton. Mr. W. K. Walker was appointed delegate to attend the annual conference at Wellington.
