o A good ohange of programme was screened at /tho Empress Theatre yesterday. "A Night Out is tho title o£ the feature iterh, and is worthy of lis place at the head of the programme. The story conesras a father and son, both of whom are rather fond of a "night out." But the father considers it his dnty to lecture his son Worn a high moral standpoint. One night both father and son make excuses, and sally forth fin pleasure bent, and unexpectedly meet at the same restaurant. Both stammer apologies. The son, howerei', sera his chance, and makes his father give him 60me money. The scene is excellently actod, and proves irresistibly fanny. "His Mother's Son," an A.B. dramaitic film, is the next picture in order iof merit. The mother is a religious Spartan, and turns her son, away from home.j After ho has left, slio dies, and her husband and daughter aro left penniless. The son returns after a prosperous voyage, and rescues his father and sister from the thankless work that they have teen % poverty forced to do. "Tho Good in the Worst of Us," by the Edison Company, is a fino dramatic study dealing with tlie effect of a child's simplicity upon twtj callous thieves.
