It is reported tliat President Wilson, alarmed at the recent Mexican and Japanese orises, has practically decided to abandon tho Monroo Doctrine, and to . request Britain to arrango a settlement of the Californian-Japancso land dispute. It is further alleged that Britain, Germany, and Franco liavo been allowed to enter Mexico to protect their countrymen, and collect debts, but not to acquire territory.
