ANAEMIC' WOMEN CLERKS.
TEA AND SCONE LUNCHES CONDEMNED. By Telegraph—PreEß Association—Copyright (Sydney "Sun" Special—July 21, 7.20 p.m.) London, July 21. The officials at the Bank' of England declare that women clerks are inefficient, owing mainly to insufficient food. The typical luncheon of the anaemic woman clerk is a cup of tea and half a buttered scone. They urge that meat is necessary.
