WELLINGTON DELEGATE LEAVES A MEETING. 187 Tolflffrapb.—Press Association.! Auckland, July The annual meeting of the North Island Poultry Association derided that the headquarters should remain in Auckland this year. A. motion by Mr. Gallichan (Wellington) to enable affiliated bodies fco subscribe to or amalgamate with any company, club, -or society_ with objects similar to the N.I.P. Association was defeated. In reply to a question by a Hastings ; delegate it was stated that the Neiv Zealand Championships, Ltd., a body formed in opposition to the main association, intended to award certificates only for championships at' tho present time. . Some heated remarks were made by tho Wellington delegate, who was asked by the chairman to withdraw certain statements. This he refused to do, and left the room. It was resolved unanimously to confirm the action, of the association in withdrawing the orpington championships from the Wellington ,Society, the meeting being stronglv or opinion that the action in advertising New Zealand championships was inimical to the interests of the association. Previous to withdrawing, the Wellington delegate moved that the North Island Association be disbanded. The motion lapsed, wanting a seconder. MR. PILMER'S CLEARING SALE. Full particulars of the clearing sale to be held by Messrs. Levin and Co., Ltd., at Mr. A. G. Pilmer's, Hapua, Taueru, on Thursday next, at half-past 12, are advertised to-day. The list comprises 1100 two, four, and six-tooth ewes, in lamb to Komney rams, 800 mixed hoggets, 500 twotooth wethers, 300 empty two-tooth ewes, 101 mixed steers, 05 cons and heifers, 10 weaners, 6 draught horses, 15 tons prime baled hay, 0 tons prime U.S. chaff, farm implements, and sundries. Mr. I'ilmer lias sold his properly, so an opportunity is given to buyers to secure first-class stock. As possession of the property will not bo given till July 31, arrangements can be made, if buyers desire, to graze the stock till that date.
