THE KING'S CARDS.
Few people, perhaps, are aware that the King has his own visiting cards, like anyone else. It is etiquette when the Sovereign is abroad that he should leave his card on minor members of the Royal family with whom he is staying, and also at tho Embassies and residences of Chefs de Mission. This King George did during his recent sojourn at Berlin. The late King caused to be inscribed on his visiting card all the principal titles that were his own, such as King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, etc. But King George prefers something shorter, and has inscribed King George the Fifth only, which, after all, is quite sufficient, seeing that his name is probably better known than that of any other monarch in the world.
