Y.W.C.A. NOTES.
Miss F. Ferguson, of Adelaide, has been appointed acting-secretary of the Young AVomen's Christian Association in Invercflrgill. A reception will bo given next Wednesday afternoon by the ladies of the general committeo of tho Young Women's Christian Association to subscribers and friends. There will be a musical programme and speeches will be made about tho work being done by this organisation. Her Excellency tho Countess of Liverpool will be present. Tho formation of mid-day club 3 among girls in city work rooms is being begun in the industrial department of tho Melbourno Young Women's Christian Association and is welcomed warmly by tho girls. In ono workroom where the first club began tho girls asked for a series of health talks. Ono of the leading doctors, I)r. Mary Henderson, is giving these talks during the luncheon hour to an audience of GO or more thoroughly interested girls. Tho owner's have furnished the basement so that the girls can have their meetings in quietness and comfort
