The two women, Clara Con-ell and Louisa Berry, who pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiring to murder Mrs. King last month, by placing a dose of strychnin© in hef cup of tea, woto each sentenced to eight years' hard labour. Thfe judge, referring to the enormity of the offence, declared that ho conld not distingnish it from tho case of hired asassins t Tvho were paid to go out and kill.
