VALLANCE COOK MISSION.

At 3 p.m. yesterday afternoon tho Rev. Vallanco Cook (missioner) gavo a Biblereading on "Tho Power of the Holy Spirit. Tho evening service was preceded by a song scrvice, when, a number of Alexander hymns were sung by tho United Choir, . under tho conductorship of Mr. E. Dawson. The service proper was commenced at 7.45, when tho Rev. P. J. Cossum offered p'raver Mrs. Cook read Chapter 9of John, and, in a practical address, urped her hearers to work in tho same spirit, ns Jesus. Tho address which followed was on the test, "Behold, I stand at tho door and knock."
