BARQUE'S NARROW ESCAPE. By Telegraph—Press Aasoolf.tlon—ConrrisM London, July 16. The captain of the iron barque Cambrian Chieftain, 1492 tons gross, owned by the- County Shipping Co., Ltd., England, states that the vessel experienced terrible weather until eight hundred miles from Capo Horn, -when the storm culminated in a twenty-four hours' hurricane. The crew assembled on the poop, not daring to move therefrom. A huge wave swept off tho deck fittings and all moveables.
