M. Paul Canibon, the French Ambassador, said at the meeting of tho Frotch Chamber of Commerce in London, that the youth of France had not been uninfluenced by the progressive movement which found expression in the prodigious development of certain industries. To-day they saw the youth of Franco having li taste for active life—the success of the sporting societies was a .proof of this—it gave itself up to business; and as a result tlicy saw an elite of tho youth of France, which in other times would liavo sought nothing but administrative posts, devoting itself to industry and commerce, and soing to .other countries to acquire a knowledge of business.
