Jt- Hannnn, Liberal candidate for the Grey soat, spoko in the Town Hall, and Mr. P. C. Webb, Social-Democratic candidate, spoko in the Drill Hall tonight. Each addressed largo and- cntlinsiastic meotings. T-lie poll to-inorrow promises to be a heavy one. Although oaoh candidate is confident of reaching tlio second ballot very littlo -will separate the ithree candidates. The Labour vote will be very solid, Mr. Hanjian, on aocount of liis personal popularity and the strong Liberal feeling on the coast, will poll well, Mr. Michel's fine platform worlc has rapidly improved his position, and ho is considered- likely to reach the second ballot.
