THE KING AT MANCHESTER By Telegraph—Press Association—Copj-richt (Rec. July 15, 10.55 p.m.) London, July 15. Tlio King, in a letter thanking Lord Derby for tlio arrangements for the Royal tour in Lancashire, said he hoped the visit would bring the Sovereigns nearer the hearts of the people. Their Majesties would ever regard the title of Duke of Lancaster, of which he was tho proud hearer, as the symbol of a real homely relation, strengthening the bonds between them. The King added that he desired that when his health was hereafter drunk' in Lancashire that the toast should be, "The Dulce of Lancaster." LORD MAYOR KNIGHTED. (Sydney "Sun" Special.—July 15, 6.55 p.m.) London, July 15. During the visit of the King and Queen to Manchester 20,000 children sang the National Anthem. The King knighted the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Mr. Samuel Royse, in commemoration of tho visit. Their Majesties have returned to London.
