ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
PATIENT COLLAPSES. A farm labourer named Thomas Flint died yesterday at Nurso Lucas's private hospital, Upper Willis Street, wliilo under chloroform, in connection with an operation for removing varicose veins. Drs. Hogg and Eivart woro in attendance. An inquest will bo held at tho court at 8 p.m. to-morrow. "FOUND DROWNED." At an inquest held yesterday, on tho body of Alexander Swallow, found floating in the harbour on Saturday, the City Coroner returned a verdict of "found drowned." At 9 o'clock this morning an inquest will bo held at tho Magistrate's Court on tho body of John Smyth, who died suddenly at tho residence of his daughter (Mrs. A. Compton), No. 1 Church Street, on Saturday afternoon. Against 'Accidents and Sickness insure with the Ocean Aocident and Guarantee Corporation, Ltd., 117 and 121 Customhouse Quay. Wellington.—Advt.
