SCOTTISH CONCERT.

The inaugural concort of the Wellington Pips Band and Dancers' Association will be held in tho Opera Houso on Wednesday evening. A lengthy programme of Scottish music, song and story has been arranged, and national dances will be given. The Wellington Gas Company's orchestra, under the baton of Mr. B. Shardlow,' will give a number of selections, whilst such well-known performers as Miss Betty- Purdom,. Madame M. Groome, Miss Adelaide Bruce, Messrs. l'hipps, Fletcher, Allwright, Ilutton (Orpheus Quartet), and Mr. Harry Hall will appear. Scottish dances will be given by Misses F. Shaw, L. and M. Reid. Messrs. W. K. Boyd, H. Anderson, J. F. •D. Lang, and J. Simpson. Tho Wellington Pipo Band (Mr. J. Simpson, pipemajor) will render a number of marches and reels during tho evening. The Hon. W. F. Massey will declare the concert open.
