NEW SOUTH WALES ELECTIONS. SPEECH BY MR. HOLMAN. By Tolcsnaph—Press Association—Oonyrieht (Ike, July"l 4, 0.30 a.m.) Sydney, July 13. Tho Stato Premier, Mr. W. A. Holman, delivered tho Government election policy spoecl. at Gundagai yesterday. Ho said that already tho Government hod revoked live million acres of leases, and another million acres of land would be' available for settlement in the near future. He hoped in a few years to mako fifteen million acres available for eettloment. Further legislation would be brought down for opening up country, and ending tho curso of decentralisation by building now border and other railways. Tho duplicating of trunk lines was foreshadowed, and the Government also intended immediately to start an underground scheme connecting tho, city and North Sydney. Mr. Holman defended the expenditure on public works. The moasurcs ho foreshadowed included Bills to secure lower rents and workers' homes, to compel delinquent husbands in gaol to support their wives, and a Publio Sorvice Superannuation Bill. THE LABOUR SET-BACK. , Sydney, July 13. Mr. Dolman, tho State Premier, in a 6peecli at Cootamundra, referring to tho coming elections, said ho had been through many crises in the history of the Labour movement before, and was prepared to fight again, again, and again, and believed that in tho • end 1 ho would - win.
