FARMERS IN CONGRESS.

The Farmers' and Settlers' Conference resolved that undertakings such as tho proposed North Shore bridge across Sydney Harbour should not be built out of public money, as they were only designed to solve local problems, and were of- no advantago in connection with tho extension of tho facilities for production and distribution. It was deoided to establish a Tegistor of those willing to replace strikers where strikes are likely to cause loss to producers. Mr. Wade, Leader of -the Opposition in tho State Parliament, addressed the conference. He traversed tho address by Mr. Holman, tte Promier, to tho conference, and outlined tho Liberals' proposals for developing tho country interests. He urged that there was no reason why the country party and the Liborals should not use their votes in a common effort led by one man against the common enemy of Labour and Socialism.
