MASTER FARRIERS.
Tho first annual meeting of the Wellington District Master farriers' Association was held on Friday evening last, the president, Mr. W. Talbut, being in the chair. The chairman, in moving the adoption of the annual report, referred to the smooth manner in which the work hail been carried on during the year. He was pieasod to see from the balance-sheet that, although only in its first year, the finances of the 'association were satisfactory. The association was in communication with farriers in other oentres of both for the purpose of the formation of similar societies in those centres. Eeference was made to the good work done during the year by the hon. secretary, Mr. Ja'mes W. Jackson, to whom a hearty voto of thanks was passed. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. W. Talbut; vicepresident, Mr. J. Sullivan; auditor, Mr. M. Fitzgibbon; committee, Messrs. J. J. Adams, J. O'Donoghue, A. Hutchins, 1). Ketter, W. Gwilliam, D. Wilson; treasurer, Mr. P. Shivnan; secretal-y, Mr. James W. Jackson. It was decided that Messrs. Fitzgibbon and Perry, Wellington, be retained as solicitors to the association.
