The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd. Palmerston North, report:—At Palmorston North, on Thursday, we had a good entry of sheep, but very few cattle came forward. Wo quitted ovcrj- line at the following- prices:—Sheep: Storo ewes. 7s. lid.; small lambs. Ts. lCd.; medium lambs, IDs. 2d. to lis.; f.m. owes, in lamb. 135.; on account Messrs. D. Buick and Son. 2-tooth Komney ewes, in lamb, 19s. 7d.; 4. 6-tootU ond f.m. Komney ewes in lamb, 18s. sd. Cattle: Small weaners, 155.: forward empty cows, £3 10s.; liprht. fat heifers, £4 2s. 6d.; heifers, in calf, £5 10s. The N.Z. Loan and' Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd. report:—At our TJpper Hutt sale, held on Thursday, wo had a good yarding of stock, and had a total clearance at satisfactory prices. Ewes in lamb, lte. 6d. to 145.; fat wethers. 235. to 225. 3d.; fat ewes, to 285.; springing heifers, £5, £5 ss. to £6 12s. 6d.; backward cows, £5. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our Palmerston- North sale last - week we had a 1 fair yardine of sheep and a. medium one of cattle. The sheep generally were not of good quality, and tho demand was dull.. We managed, however. ;to quit tho bulk of them at the followinc prices:—Mixed, woolly hoKRCts, 11b. 6d. to 125.; small hoggets, 6s. 6d.; inferior a.m. ewes in. lamb, 9s. 10d.; mixed aged owes, in lamb, 15s. 9d.; fat ewos, 15s. 9d. 16s. 9d. to 17s. 6d.; forward emnty ewce, 12s. to 12s. 6d.; cull ewes', 35.. 3d. to 65.; empty B.H. heifers, £4 75.; empty S.H. cows, £3 lis. to £4 55.; store cows, £3; guaranteed springing cows, £8 2s. fid-, to £11: dairy cows, in calf, :£4 2s. 6d. to £5 17s. 6d. '
