At tho Board of Trade inquiry into the loss of the eteamer Mountoswald, with twenty-four hands, in February, 1912, tho vessel being grain-laden from Baltimore to Hamburg, tho evidence showed that the pilot had urgod tho captain when in Hampton Roadg to dry-dock the vessel. Tho captain's only letter to tho owners asked their advice, but made 110 request that tho steamer should bo dry-docked.
