DENTAL CONFERENCE.
Tho annual conference of tho New Zealand Dental Association was oontinued yesterday. Mr. M. E. Denniston, of Wellington, was elected president for 1915. The president for 1914 is Mr. A. M. Carter, of Auckland. Other officers wlectcd: wore;— Chairman of oxoutiro council, Mr. T. A. Hunter (Dunedin); lion, treasurer, Mr. H. Chrystnll (Dunedin); lion- sec., Dr. H. P. Pickerill (Dunedin). Tho conference considered the question of the publication of the association's pamphlet on the care of teeth. It is the opinion of tho association that the only satisfactory method of dealing with tho national evil of decayed teeth is to placo tho matter before the Government and to provide for State dental examinations in the public sohools.
