MAJOR KEMP'S MEMORIAL. Mr. Justice Chapman heard argument in the Supremo Court yesterday on a motion to set aside the jury's verdict for the plaintiffs in the case of Harris and Co. v. Itora Hakaraia, which was heard in Palmerston North towards tho end of May, The claim arose out of the contract fpr tho erection of tho Major Kemp memorial at Wanganui. Mr. C. J. Loughnan, of Palmerston'North, appeared in support of tho motion, which was opposed bp Mr. M. Myers, on behalf of the plaintiffs. After hearing argument his Honour reserved decision.
