NAVAL CHANGES.
SHIPS FOR NEW ZEALAND-STATION. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. July 10, 1.20 a.m.) Sydney, July 9. Important naval changes are announced to-day. The cruiser Challenger, wliich went Homo from Sydney to bo recommissioncd, will return to New , Zealand, with two cruisers of tho "Comity" class, recommissioned for tho Now Zealand Station. H.M.S. Psyche will be recommissioned at Sydney with a new crew next month, and the l'yramus likewise joins tho NewZealand division. Tho Cambrian is expected to return to England in August There aro nine ships in the. "county" class—the Kent (1901), Essex (1901), Monmouth (1901), Lancaster (1902), Berwick (1902), Donegal (1902), Cornwall (1902). Cumberland (1902), and Suffolk (1903). Their displacement is 9800, and complement, GBO. • Tho primary armament consists of 14 6in. guns.
