PROVISIONAL CLASIFICATION. The I'rimo Minister informed Mr. Wil« ford in tlio House of Representatives yesterday thnt tlio increases granted under the new Civil Service Classification would presumably take effect as from April X last, but that until the classification list was submitted by tho Public Servico Comstate? 11 ™' " 10 cou I 1 0 ': definitely To another auostion tho Primo Minister stated _ that tho first list would bo n provisional one, against which officers will bo allowed to appeal. This would probably be ready nbout tho end of this month. .Tlio final list could not bo prepared until nil appeals were settled, which would take from 0110 to two months after tho issuo of tho provisional list.
