At Monday night's meeting of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Oram moved: —"That a committeo be set up to bring down a report upon tho feasibility of utilising motor power to supply Palinereton North and surrounding district with electrical power." Sedcolo) recommended to tho committee on Thursday evening that the . spare room attached, to the library proper should be fitted up as a room for ladies. The recommendation was adopted, Library Committee also decided to call applications for the position of librarian, and to hold a special meeting on July 10 to consider the applications. Messrs. IJ. P. Davidson, A. "W. Sedcole, and V. Mekalick were deputed to revise tho duties of librarian. ■ * ■ GREYTOWN. At the monthly meeting of the Greytown Trust Land's Trustees on Thursday evening it was resolved that the following grants be made for the ensuing year: School, .£4O; library, .£3O; fire brigade, X 10: recreation reserve.
