1 SIR GEORGE REID ON 'AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, July 7. H.R.H. tho Duke of Connaught presided at tho National Rifle Association's dinner to the overseas teams to compete at Bisley. Tho High Commissioner for Australia (Sir George Reid), in a speech, said that they in Australia were determined to shoot well, and shoot straight, in order to be ablo to help the Empire if assistance were wanted. When the Australian Navy programme was completed they would have fifty-two ships; every male over fourteen year 9 of age would be ablo to 6erve his King. Sir George Reid added that the Empire could not have too many legs—Australia would bo ono of its best and strongest. He invited the Duko of Connaught to visit tho Commonwealth,
