Takehito Arisuguawa, formerly organiser of the Japanese Army, is dead. MR. E. HAROLD MONTGOMERY. Sydney, July 8. This morning Mr. E. Harold Montgomery, New Zealand Government Agent, died from syncope, following influenza. (Roc. July 9, 0.45 a.m.) Sydney, July 8. The remains of the late Mr. Montgomery will be convoyed for interment to Auckland by the Mahono, sailing tomorrow. Mr. E. Harold Montgomery a native of Auckland, and about 1387 wm a reporter on the "Evening Bell." He joined the Tourist Department in Auc.";c;aud eleven years ago, and in 190S was transferred to Sydney when tho 'fruuiot o!iice was opened there. Mr. Montgomery was in Wellington a few months ago on holiday leave. He was 47 years of age, and leaves a wife and two children. WELL-KNOWN METHODIST. Melbourne, July 8. The Rev. William Williams, ex-presi-dent-of the General Conference of the Methodist Church of Australasia, is dead. The Rev. Dr. Williams, F.L.S., was born at Kooringa, South Australia, in 1848. Ho was -president of tho General Conference of the Methodist Church of Australia from 1907 to 1910.
