An arson plot lo burn down a palatial hotel at San Dic.|o was discovered in the nick of time. Flames wore creeping around the basement, of tho hotel, when a lady discovered the firo and alarmed tho fire department. Three hundred guests were awakened and barely managed to escape. The hotel was partly destroyed. There were fuses and timber s&tttratod with turpentine everywhere.
