Mr. Samuel in the House of Commons stated that the Post Office was not qualified to erect long-distance wiroless stations, and that the Admiralty was unable to spare a staff. The Marconi Company was agreeable to enter into a new contract, but owing to the increased price of materials tho stations would each cost .£6OOO more than the previous quotations. The oompany had guaranteed to work, under all conditions, at a speed of twenty words o minute.
