At a special meeting of tho Board of Governors of tho M'Lenn Institute yesterday it was decidpd to occupy "Holly Lea," a large building erected by the late Mr. Allan M'Lean in Manchester Street. The Mayor stated to-day that the board had held the property _ for . some time. Since it becamo unoeoupied (in order to give the Government timo to consider a proposal that it should be taken over by them as a Government Home) nothing had been heard from the Government, and_ tlie board folt that it was not justified.in keeping people out of the home any longer. As soon as six suitable applicants were selected, tho homo would ! be used for the purpose set out in tho trust.
