WEST COASTERS' ASSOCIATION.
The seventh annual meeting of the West Coasters' Association , wa? held at the Cecil Hotel last evening. Mr. E. A. Vincent presided, and there was a large attendance of members. The annual report congratulated members on the success of the past year's work. Tin? treasurer received .£IOB 7s. fid., and disbursed the sum of JCIOS 2s. 3d., lcavins. a cretfit balance of .£■! 4s. Id. It was with regret that the association learned of the death of Sir Arthur Guinness, one of tlio founders of the association, who occupied the position of vice-presi-dent up to the time of his death. A telegram of sympathy was sent lo Lady Guinness. Tlio Westland, goldfields jubilee would be celebrated' at Ilokitika. in January next, and the fuianco committee hoped to charter a steamer. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following officers .we® elected: —President. Mr. F. M'Fjirlandi vice-presidents, Messrs.. Martin Kennedy, S. Gilmer. T. Y. Seddon. M. O'Connor* J. ,T. M'Grath, J. Dwyer, E. .T. Fitwibbon, J. .T. Calvin, 11. M'Rcnzie, P. Griffon, li. Quinn, H. Kyle, and A. Kttchingham i secretary, Mr. C. J. Pfaff; treasurer, K. | Quinn; management committee, Messrs. Barford, Kyle, Kitcliingham, O'Kanc, E. Dunne. Preliminary arrangements were discussed concerning tlio soeinl which it is proposed to hold in the Town Hall alxmt the middle of August. A further meeting will be held on Thursday to consider the matter. It was decided to charter a special steamer to take the members to Hokitikn for the celebration of tho goldfietcls jubilee about January 11.
