"A RABID ANARCHIST."

HTJNTEJ) ORATOR IN COURT. By Telegraph—Prc?n Association—Copyright (Rec. July 1, 8.55 p.m.) Sydney, July 1. Carterer is the name of the Domain orator whom the crowd hunted on Sunday for making offensive remarks about Australians. He has now been remanded on a charge of addressing a public assemblage in language calculated to create a breach of the peace. The police describe him as a rabid Anarchist, who is declaredly against all authority, and who would not hesitate to assail human life—a companion to the Continental Socialists. Carterer describes himself as a Dane, and in court denied that he was an Anarchist. He favoured peace and order. The trouble arose'through Chidley, who was hunted and jeered at by the crowd, seeking his protection.
