The gross earnings on the State railways for tho past year was ,£6,806,991, an increase of 4268,820. Melbourne, Jijly 1. The Victorian rovenue for the year con-, stituted a record, being 410,075,555, an inoreaso of .£127,893. Adelaide, Ju.ly 1. Tho South Australian revenue for the year was a record, namely, 44,504,719, an increase of 453,980. (Rcc. July 2, 0.10 a.m.) Adelaide, July 1. With the saving in the estimated expenditure, the year ended with a surplus of 4185,000. During the last 6even years 42,500,000 have been paid off the public debt from surpluses. COMMONWEALTH REVENUE. (Rec. .July 2, 0.40 a.m.) Melbourne, July 1. The Commonwealth Revenue for the year totals 421,877,120, as compared with 420,422,300 last year. Customs and excise yielded® 415,536,606, an increase of 41,826,407.
