STRUCK FOR CURRENT YEAR. Tho following rates for tho current year have been struck by tho City Council ' On Unimproved Value.—(a) General Tate, 2 l-10d.; "(a) library rato, i-13d.; (b) city improvement loan interest rate, l-5d.; (b) sanitation loan interest rate, No. 1, 7-2 fid.; (b) sanitation loan interest rate, No. 2, l-2Gd.; (b) consolidation loan in-, terest rate, 1-lOd.; (o) Melrose improvement loan interest rato, 14d. j (d) outlying disitricts drainage loan interest rate, 5-7<l. Op Annual Value.—(a) Water rato, 2} per cent.; (a) hospital and charitable aid rate, 3d. Rates marked (a) ore levied on Greater, Wellington; (1>) on Wellington as original]}' boundod; (c) on Melrose; (d) on outlying districts. Tho only difference ii in tho hospital and charitable aid rate, which is increased from 2Jd. to 3d,, owiny to tlio largely increased demand of it' board.
