Crowley, Section 6, Block IV, Ngamatea (provided ranger's report is favourable); C. B. Allen, Section 1, Block V, Ruahinc; Mrs. A. Mitchel, Section 33, Block VI, Hunua: .F W. J. .Greenstreet, Section 37, Block VI, Hunua. MISCELLANEOUS APPLICATIONS. ' It was resolved to approve of proposals for expenditure of accrued thirds as follows, subject to investigation by the rangers:—Patea County Council, dEI3G 16s. lOd.; Eketahuna 'County Council, .£1; Wanganui County Council, XH 10s. lOd.; Ohakune Borough Council, .£BO is. Id.; Petone Borough ouncil, .£2O os. lOd. The Mamunui Town Board applied for an area of 15 to 20 acres of Crown land lioar the township to be set apart for. a sanitary depot.—lt was resolved to decl'ne - Mrs. T. Pitt asked to bo allowed to graze other person's stock on Section 13, Block XIX, Mangahao, pending arrangements for a transfer of her husband's interest in the land under instructions from him on his way out from England. It was resolved to lcavo the matter in tho hands of the Commissioner to do what he can to relieve tho applicant from Imposition. G. H. Stupplos applied to purchase old dwelling on Pitt Settlement, and it was resolved to decline* the offer and reduce the price of the building to £20 for reopening for selection. In view of tho ranger's report _on the disposal of Section 111, Block X, Raetilii Township, it was resolved to rescind tho resolution of January 30 last effecting it, and olVer it for salo for cash iu terms of tho ranger's report. P. G. Smith, having applied for a leaso of Otiranui la Block, the appraisement of milling timber thereon was submitted. It was resolved to postpone consideration till next meeting. Tho Commissioner to look into tho modo of disposal of the land.

With reference to the board's resolution of April 25, 1910, re disposal of Section 26, Block X, Umutoi, Mr. J. T. Shore liaviDg applied lo be allowed to select this section on occupation with right of purcliaso, it was resolved to allow him to do so under the power now given by Section 14 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912. ■ It'was resolved to offer Sections 467, Block 11, Wairoa, 72 acres 2 roods 20 perches, and 168 in same block, 88' acres 3 roods 90 perches, on optional system at tho surveyor's valuation, the sale to be at the Land Offico, Wanganni. D. J. C. Templeton having applied for about Gi acres of Section 18, Block XII, Manganiii, to be added to his holding. Section 13, Block XI, to obtain improved fcncing line, it was resolved to recommend tho disposal of tho land to him under Section 14 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912, in terms of ranger's report. F. Udy applied for a lease of Section 9, Block XI, Ohakune, upon which hollas erected si dwelling, and it was resolved to grant him a lease for 5 years under Section 130 of the Land Act, 1908, with protection for improvements up to ,1 value not exceeding £150, provided they be assessed at the then value to an incoming tenant or purchaser. Rent to bo!at an amount to be fixed after valuation for land. Tho board examined applications for Section 34, Ohakune V.S., and decided which of the applicants should have preference <13 provided by Section 11 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912. Tho examination resulted in tho jireferento being given to George W. \ork, who was declared the successful applicant. All application was received from Mr. Cliaa. Buttiinore for a license to split green birch bush near Raiigataua. ft \v<is resolved to postpone consideration for one month. Mr. S. A.A.Hatfield, Section 7, Ohakune V.S., non-residence—Forfeited. Mrs. M. Sparks, Sections 6 and 7, Block X, Katigataua Township, non-residence —Postponed for a month.

Allen applied for exemption from personal residence on Section 9, Block 11, Tiffin, her house thereon having been destroyed by fire, and as she now resides on her husband's freehold, about three miles away, it was resolved to dispense with residence under Section 161 of the Land Act, 1908. It was resolved to approve of the monev received for improvements on section 31, Ohakune Y.S., being dealt Willi as follows J-JCI 10s. to be paid to public account, and .£lO to be paid to tho person entitled to receive it. It was resolved to grant T. A. Duncan a permit to graze stock oii'Maungtikarctu 4 13 1, Pt. 4b, No. 4, Sections 4, BlockVIII, 5, and Pts. 1, Block ill, Mangawliero, comprising 1536 acres, at a rental of 4s. 6d. per acre per annum, as from January 1. 1913, subject to determination when required for settlement. .... The ilanunui Town Board applied to have all "thirds" derived from sections in the town district hypothecated in connection with the loan of ,£12500 already raised, and now being expended on form-, ing and metalling all the roads in the township, and it was resolved to approve, subject to investigation by tho ranger. The Mangawhfro lfoad Board applied to have the "thirds" from Sections li and 8, Block I, Mangawhero, hypothecated for payment of interest oil loan, and it was resolved to approve, subject to investigation by. the ranger. Mr. K. Ganter, not having completed within the prescribed tiino contract for purchase of fee simple of Section 9, Block X, Mount Cerberus, under Section 177 of tho Land Act, 1908, it was resolved to cancel it. It was resolved to extend the term of purchase of the fee-simple ot Sections 1 and 27, Block VIII, Tiriraukawa, lielil by Mrs. Mary M'Govern. provided a definite proposal is submitted before next meetlnK- . .. With reference to the application of W. G. Trice for a lease of Section 2, Piriuku suburbs, tlie lessee submitted proposals for improvements to tho buildings and for ploughing and sowing and planting an orchard. —It was resolved to approve of the proposed expenditure. The application of H. H. Harris to transfer Sections 12 and 13, Block I, Tiriraukawa, to A. J. Joblin, was further considered—lt was resolved to decline.
