FEDERATION SOUGHT FOR.
TRANSPORT WORKERS. Mr. Geo. Davis, secretary of tho Drivers' Federation, will arrive in Wellington oil Thursday, from Auckland, to mako arrangements for a meeting of transport workers, to be hold 011 Juno 28, prior to tho Unity Labour Congress. Tho meeting will bo comprised of representatives of drivers, tramwaymen, wharf labourers, seamen, railwaymcn, and" probably storemen. Tho idea of tlio conferenco emanated from a meeting o£ tllc Drivers' Federation, held at Cliristchurch. It will bo tho first conference of tho kind,, and no agenda paper has been prepared. It is hoped by tho unions concerned that a transport workers' federation will be tho outcome of tho conference. The Wellington Drivers Union will bo represented by Mr. E. Flannagan (Masterton), Mr. J as. Rogers (Wellington), and Mr Parlane, secretary of the union. Outsido unions will probably be represented bv the delegates representing them at tlio Unity Congress.
